Genuineness, authenticity, compassion, and uniqueness are characteristics I possess as a counselor. I aim to empower and inspire my clients with genuine respect and show them they are not alone in their journey to restoration. Ensuring the client’s needs are validated and understood, active listening and empathetic understanding is the approach I take to meet the needs and wants of the client to holistic healing.

I am an honors graduate from Central Michigan University with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have experience in counseling children, teenagers, adults, and couples. My specialties include anxiety, depression, anger management, marital conflict, postpartum depression, self-image, and trauma-related disorders.

Life comes with many challenges, but they don’t have to be challenging alone. I am committed to providing a space of tranquility and peace to those I serve. I practice from an eclectic approach of evidence-based practices to fit the client’s need, whether it be Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, to the integration of Christian concepts and currently completing my PhD in this area of expertise.

My approach to therapy is built upon the principle of respect and compassion through a caring therapeutic relationship. Your mental health and overall wellness are essential, so believing that you have the potential to step over the threshold into your new beginnings is what I strive for in each session.

Come on home and step into your greatness with purpose and integrity. I am a PREPARE/ENRICH Facilitator with certification to providing couple’s counseling. Life brings a lot of challenges and you don’t have to go through it alone. Take that leap of faith. Don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. Be bold, be brilliant and be brave. You got this!

To be a Queer-affirming therapist is first to understand how the therapist can help the LGBTQIA community even with a restricted understanding. Embodying the role of a Queer-affirming therapist means adopting an approach to therapy that is supportive, understanding, and affirming of individuals who identify as queer but not limiting to those who identify of other sexual orientations (i.e., lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, pansexual or any other non-heteronormative sexual orientation or gender identity). Utilizing appropriate pronouns also aids in respecting how individuals identify themselves.
Prospective clients can anticipate a supportive and understanding environment where their identities are respected and validated. The collaborative experience involves mutual respect, empathy, and a commitment to understanding each client’s unique perspective. Together, we work towards personal growth, self-acceptance, and navigating challenges in a validating and affirming manner.
